CBA Youth Program

Kids Love Bluegrass

Home

The California Bluegrass Association (CBA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 and dedicated to “the furtherance of Bluegrass, Old-Time and Gospel music.”  Programs for children at the Father’s Day Festival, held each year on the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, began over two decades ago and expand every year.

The Youth Program now consists of recreational, educational, instructional and performance components and manages an instrument lending library.  The goal is to support young people year round with activities.  Formal programs now include Kids on Bluegrass (KOB), the Instrument Lending Library, CBA Youth Academy, KidFest and FunGrass.
